530    Pista Lassi

A Punjabi Recipe

Ingredients

Quantity Measure Ingredients Description
1/2 Teaspoon Cardamom Powder  
2 Teacup Curds chilled, fresh
1/2 Teacup Ice Cubes crushed
1 Teaspoon Milk hot
2 Drops Pista essence
3 Nos Pista  
1 Tablespoon Sugar  

Method

# Make coarse powder of Pista
# Mix sugar in curds till well dissolved.
# Just before serving combine all ingredients.
# Whip well with a hand or electric beater.
# The Lassi is ready when it is light and frothy.
# Serve well chilled.

Ingredients

Quantity Measure Ingredients Description
500 Grammes Beef - Mince  
4 Nos Cardamoms ditto
4 Nos Chillies, Red Dry To make a paste
1 Teaspoon Chilly Paste, Red ditto
1 Inch Cinnamon ditto
6 Nos Cloves (spice) ditto
1 Tablespoon Cooking Oil  
2 Twigs/Sprigs Coriander Leaves (Kothmeer)  
6 Flakes Garlic ditto
2 Teaspoon Jeera/Cumin Seeds ditto
1 Bunch Methi Leaves Cleaned and chopped
4 Small Potatoes Chopped
1 Salt-Spoon Salt for taste
2 Teaspoon Tamarind Pulp  
1 Nos Tomatoes Chopped
1 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder ditto
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce for taste

Method

Fry the onions in oil and then add tomatoes pieces Add the grounded paste and fry for couple of minutes Add the mince Cook till it is dried Add potatoes , Methi leaves, and little water. Cook on medium heat for 20 min. Add tamarind juice made from the pulp and simmer. Put Worcestershire Sauce according to your taste and garnish with coriander leaves Serve hot
