Quantity Measure Ingredients Description:
1 Kilogram Prawns Saute prawns in a little oil.
1 Large Onion finely chopped, saute
4 Flakes/Cloves Garlic (Lason, Losun) finely chopped, saute
2 Stalks Lemon Grass finely chopped, saute
1 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder make paste
1 Teaspoon Jeera Powder make paste
1 Teaspoon Ginger (Adhrak) make paste
1/4 Teaspoon Pepper Powder  
2 Medium Chillies Red Dry finely chopped
2 Twigs/Sprigs Bay Leaves (Tejpatta) (Dry Cinnamon Leaf)  
1 Teacup Coconut Milk - Thick  
1 Teaspoon Salt  
1 Teaspoon Sugar, Table  


Sauté prawns is a small amount of oil. Set aside. Sauté onion, garlic, and lemon grass in 2 tbsp (30 ml.) oil. Add spices and cook 5-10 minutes. Add tomatoes and cook an additional 10 minutes. Add coconut milk. Cook until mixture takes on a curdled appearance (about 10 minutes). Add prawns and cook 10 minutes.
