Ingredients

Quantity Measure Ingredients Description:
500 Grams Rice, Boiled (ukda chawal) Clean and wash the rice
100 Grams Jaggery Grind with rice.
1 Teacup Coconut scraped (fresh) Grind with rice.
  As Required Salt to taste

Method

Clean and wash the rice and soak for an hour or so  Grind it with a little water and 200 grammes of jaggery and 1 teacup of scraped coconut.  Add some salt to taste to a fine but sufficiently dry dough.   

Make small balls about the size of a sour lime and press a little in the middle/cente leaving a round depression.   Steam till well cooked   These are served for dinner, in place of bread.   20 dumplings can be made.
