Quantity Measure Ingredients Description:
Quarter Kilogram Dhal, Chana Soak for half an hour.
1 Tablespoon Cooking Oil For frying
1 Teaspoon Mustard Seed (Sarson) For seasoning
6 Flakes/Cloves Garlic (Lason, Losun) For seasoning
1 Teaspoon Chilly Powder, Red For mixing
Half Teaspoon Turmeric Powder For mixing
Half Teaspoon Garam-Masala For mixing
Half Teaspoon Salt to taste
Half Nos. Coconut (Narial) to be scraped

Method:

Soak half kilogram of chana dhal, in water for one hour.   Pressure cook it (should not be over cooked).   Heat the oil, and add the mustard seed and the minced garlic.  Sauté the garlic for a little while, add the masala powders, then add the chana dhal with its water and simmer, till the water dries up.   Lastly add the scraped coconut   Add salt to taste.
