| 200 | Grams | Potatoes | Boil, Peel and cut in four and add. |

Method
Soak the salted beef for one hour in water, then wash and cut in pieces. and boil in two cups of water for about one hour. Add salt to taste. Broil separately on a skillet each masala, scraped coconut and sliced onion, except tamarind. Grind all masala and tamarind to a fine paste.
Add the masala and its water to the cooked meat and boil.
For tempering, heat the ghee and fry half onion sliced, pour the cooked meat, its gravy and if necessary additional boiled water, to prepare curry to required consistency. Add salt to taste if needed and simmer for fifteen minutes. Add boiled potatoes peeled and cut.

Sorry for asking silly questions!
I am french, love indian cooking and was very happy to find your recipes. What is "salted beef"? It is written "Half Kilogram Beef Salted and preserved. See 810" but I am not abble to find "810". Does it mean the beef is preserved in salt before or that one should add salt to it before?
