Method
Wash, wipe and peel the guavas with a clean towel Cut the guavas into halves and put them in a cooking vessel with half cup water and cook till tender. Remove the seeds and put it in a mixer. Put the seeds in a small mixer and pass the pureed seeds through a sieve. Make the puree of guavas and sees separately. Measure the guava pulp and put the same quantity of sugar in a thick bottomed vessel. Add the lemon juice, coloring and stir till it leaves the sides. When it begins to leave the sides, add the ghee. Pour on a greased board and cut when firm.
