Ingredients

 
Quantity: Measure: Ingredients: Description:
1 Whole Eggs Beat the egg
1 units Egg Yolks Beat the yolk
1 Teacup Milk Sour milk. Add to beaten egg.
1 and 1/2 Teaspoon Cream of Tartar Add to beaten egg.
4 Teacup Flour, Maida - (Refined) Sift, and mix ingredients
1 and 1/2 Teaspoon Salt Sift, and mix ingredients
1 and 1/2 Teaspoon Baking Powder Sift, and mix ingredients
1 and 1/2 Teaspoon Nutmeg, Grated Sift, and mix ingredients
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon Powder Sift, and mix ingredients
1 Teacup Sugar, White Sift, and mix ingredients
  As Required Cooking Oil For deep frying

Method

 

1. Beat the egg, and then the yolk.
2. Gradually add sugar and then the sour milk.
3. Mix and sift the dry ingredients, and stir with the flour.   Add this flour to the egg mixture. and mix thoroughly.
4. Turn out on a floured board, and knead.  Use more flour, if the dough is sticky.
5. Roll out to one inch thickness, and cut with a dough nut cutter.
6. Fry in hot ghee, and remove and drain on a brown paper.
7. Roll in sugar and serve.
