Coconut Toffee 2

Ingredients

Quantity Measure Ingredients Description:
2 Nos. Coconuts - fresh. Scrape and grind coconut
600 Grams Jaggery Add to coconut juice while boiling
2 Tablespoon Lime Juice Add to coconut juice while boiling
200 Grams Almonds (Badam) Blanch, and grind coarse and add.

Method

Scrape and grind coconut and take about 3 cups of juice.   Keep on fire the coconut juice with jaggery and boil for an hour till thick.  Add lime juice and almonds previously blanched and ground coarse.  Boil again till sticky.  When done pour on a buttered dish and flattened to about half inch thick.  Cut into squares pieces when slightly cooled.
