| 4 | Tablespoon | Coconut scraped (fresh) | Grind with rice |
| 1 | Tablespoon | Tamarind Pulp | Soak tamarind in water and extrat juice |
| 1/2 | Teaspoon | Jeera (Cumin Seeds) | Grind with rice |
| 1/4 | Teaspoon | Pepper Powder | Grind with rice |
| 1/2 | Teaspoon | Salt | to taste. Grind with rice |
| 8-10 | Small | Chillies Green | Cut in bits. Grind with rice |
Method
Soak the rice and dal together over night and grind together with all of the other ingredients to make a thick Dosa batter, using water as needed.
Cover and let ferment in a warm place for 5-6 hrs. The batter should be ready, make the dosas on a hot tawa & serve with your favorite chutneys.
