Ingredients

Quantity Measure Ingredients Description:
Half Teacup Rice, Basmati Wash and drain the rice. Soak.
Four Teacup Milk, Buffalo (fresh) Boil milk and add drained rice.
One Teacup Sugar, Table Add sugar
One Teaspoon Cardamom Powder Add for flavor.
Quarter Teacup Almonds (Badam) Add for flavor.
One Salt-Spoon Kesar (Saffron) Half teaspoon.
Quarter Teacup Raisins Add for flavor.

Method

1.Wash and drain the rice. Soak in water for 1/2 hour. 
2.Boil Milk and add drained rice. Simmer on low heat for One and a half hours. Scrape the sides and bottom frequently to prevent sticking. 
3.When the rice is cooked and the mixture gets a creamy consistency, add sugar and stir well. 
4.Remove from heat and add crushed cardamom seeds, Saffron and shredded almonds. 
5.Serve hot or refrigerated cold.
