My interest in writing this article came about after I heard an interview on BBC Hard Talk, when a  young Egyptian woman, Mrs. Gameela Ismail, narrated her husband, Ayman Nour's ordeal at the hands of the Egyptian Authorities.     My study takes me back 2000 years as it is not possible to understand the present, until I know how the modern situation came about

Since that time, Mubarak has been deposed, and now it has happened to Morsi.   From the time this area got out of the hands of the Ottoman Empire, it fell in the hands of the British, as a result of the Mandate of the Laague of Nations after the firrst World War.   Britain gained the oil fields of the Middle East, disinvested in India, and through creation of Pakistan held control of the Bolan and Kyber passes.   Fought wars in Afganistan, and now this.    They are talking of the Neo Colonialist ambitions, but future will unforld what is in store for the world.
