Ingredients

Quantity Measure Ingredients Description:
1 Liter Milk  
1/3 Teacup Rice, Basmati  
2 Nos. Bay Leaves (Tejpatta) (Dry Cinnamon Leaf) Add
2 Tablespoon Raisins cleaned and chopped
1 Tablespoon Pista cleaned and chopped
3 Pods (whole) Cardamoms (Elaichi) seeds crushed
1/2 Teacup Sugar, Table  
1 Pinch Cinnamon Powder For flavor

Method 

1. Heat milk in a thick bottom pan in medium heat with occasional stirring till reduced to about 3/4 liter.

2. Boil rice with one-cup water and half cup milk adding two bay leaves till fully cooked, if necessary add more water as required.

3. When rice is fully cooked, add the milk.

4. Add raisins and pista and cook in slow heat for about ten minutes.

5. Add sugar and cook for about five minutes.

6. Add crushed seeds of cardamom and cook for a minute.

7. Remove, cool and refrigerate and serve.
