Ingredients

Quantity Measure Ingredients Description
1 Teacup Chana, whole. (Bengal gram)  
6 Nos. Vadia - ready made broken
1/2 Teaspoon Jeera (Cumin Seeds)  
1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder  
2 Teaspoon Cooking Oil  
4 Teacup Water  
1/2 Teaspoon Garam-Masala powser
  As Required Salt to taste
  As Required Chilly Powder, Red to taste

Method

1.Clean and wash dal.
2.In a pressure cooker fry vadia (can be  purchased from a Gracer shop) with one tablespoon oil for 2 minutes.
3.Add dal, water, turmeric, salt and chili powder. Close cooker and cook on high for another 10 minutes.
4.In a small pan, fry cumin with Ghee(clarified butter). Mix garam masala and pour it on dal. Serve hot.
