Dear Walter
I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the musical version. I remember this hymn from my childhood. The tune kept coming to me, but I only remembered the 'chorus' and couldn't remember the name. I kept trying 'google' with the first line of the chorus and succeeded in accessing the hymn.
I asked a priest about this hymn and my mother(poor soul she's passed away) sang the first verse to him, but he didn't know it. Now since I've found it, I will give it to the organist in the church and request her to play it and have it sung at mass.
Can you send me a singing version of this hymn by a choir or something like that, that you may have.
I feel so grateful to you.
