Method
In some water, soak broken bread or bread crumbs. When they are soggy, mash them well.
Mix the flour with a little milk into a paste, then add the remaining milk and mashed bread or bread crumbs and blend.
Clean the plums, and currants, wash and dry them. Stone the raisins, cut the candied peel into small thin slices. Coat all with dry flour and remove. Mix mashed bread, and flour mixture and plums etc. Add slightly beaten eggs, sugar and grated nutmeg and powdered cinnamon. When well mixed, pour in a buttered pudding dish, and bake or steam.
