Ingredients

4TablespoonCoconut scraped (fresh) 
1/2TeacupDhal, Urid (white) 
1/2TeaspoonJeera/Cumin Seeds1/4
1/4TeaspoonPepper Powder 
1/2TeacupRice, Boiled (ukda chawal) 
1/2TeacupRice, Raw 
1/2TeaspoonSaltto taste
1TablespoonTamarind PulpSoak tamarind in water and extrat juice

Method

Soak the rice and dal together over night and grind together with all of the other ingredients to make a thick Dosa batter, using water as needed.

Cover and let ferment in a warm place for 5-6 hrs. The batter should be ready, make the dosas on a hot tawa & serve with your favorite chutneys.
