Method
Cut and clean the fish. Grind mustard and turmeric fine. Cut into slices, onions, ginger, garlic and green Chillies. Grind coconut and extract one cup of thick juice.
Heat cooking oil and brown the sliced onions and the minced masala. Add the ground masala and fry well till the masala odor goes. Then add the coconut juice and keep on stirring. Add vinegar and salt to taste. After boiling well add the fish and cook on brisk fire, shaking the vessel once or twice. Do not allow to curdle.
Shark, Pompfret, Gol fish etc. may be cooked this way.
