Method
Mix the flour with water, and beat well. Then add sugar and beat again, well. If required add a little water. Make a batter of the consistency to make poleys (crumpets). Dissolve kesar with a spoon of milk and mix with the batter. Keep aside for half an hour.
In a deep frying pan, heat ghee, one inch deep, and when hot, pour a spoon full of batter, into the oil and flatten and fry till it is deep brown.
