Ingredients

Quantity Measure Ingredients Description
1 Teaspoon Salt  
2 Teaspoon Pepper Powder  
2 Teaspoon Chilly Powder, Red  
1 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder  
1 Teaspoon Mustard Seed  
2 Tablespoon Cooking Oil  
3 Tablespoon Garlic Finely chopped or slivered
125 Ml. Vinegar  
10 Medium Tomatoes Ripe, blanched, peeled and chopped

Method

Heat oil in a deep sauce pan over medium-high heat. Add mustard and slivered or chopped garlic flakes Cook, stirring, until mixture starts to brown, Add turmeric, chilly powder, pepper powder, salt and chopped tomatoes.

Stir and cook till tomatoes loose their colour. Add vinegar and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer until thick. Taste and add salt and vinegar as desired.

Store in clean glass jars.
