Cucumbers are the fourth most cultivated vegetable in the world and known to be one of the best foods for your body's overall health, often referred to as a superfood.
Pare the washed cucumber, and make thin round slices, sprinkle salt over them and leave aside for then minutes. Then squeeze out the water, and spread the slices in a salad dish.
In a sauce pan, heat the ghee, and when hot, add mustard seed and allow it to splutter. When it has ceased to splutter, add a pinch of asafetida in the hot ghee. Pour the hot ghee over the raw cucumber slices.
Sprinkle the minced green chillies on the salad, and garnish it with the minced herbs.
