Method
Clean and wash the rice and dhal, separately and strain. Keep ghee in a vessel over the fire. Brown the onion slices and grind all the masala, jira, cinnamon, etc. and fry. Put rice and dhal and brown well. Then pour hot water, two fingers above the rice and add turmeric powder and salt to taste.
Boil the rice till it is half cooked. Then place the dish in the microwave oven to cook it fully and make it dry.
